Bonamassa has two production plants, one in Caselle di Santa Maria di Sala (near Venice) and the other in Oriolo Calabro (near Cosenza), where skilled workers make bedsprings, mattresses, and pillows. Here are the stages required to create the best ally for a good night’s sleep:

01 MANUFACTURE OF THE CORE OF THE MATTRESS

  • Cutting of the selected top quality materials
  • Assembly of the components to create the core of the mattress
  • Padding

02 CREATION OF THE COVER

  • Quilting of the fabric
  • Cutting of the fabric
  • Cutting and sewing to define the edges and finishes
  • Creation of side straps, each with specific features
  • Final stage where the fabric, strap, and zip are sewn together

03 ASSEMBLY AND PACKAGING OF THE PRODUCT

  • Spinning or beading, during which the core is covered with a thin cotton canvas
  • Assembly of the gusset and cover
  • Labelling. The label with all the details of the mattress and the name of the customer is sewn to the mattress
  • Packaging, during which the mattress is covered with a nylon bag ready for delivery or shipment
 

01CREATION OF THE BEDSPRING FRAME

  • The frame is the weightbearing structure
  • The wooden frame is made with beech plywood glued with low formaldehyde-emitting glue (class E1) in compliance with the EC standards. It is recyclable and environmentally friendly
  • Bedsprings with metal frame undergo treatments with non-toxic powders and paints and a sturdy and durable

02 PROCESSING OF THE SLATS

  • Each slat consists of superimposed layers of wood with fibres glued together and pressed at high temperature. This ensures elasticity, durability, and moist resistance.
  • Slats are made with beech wood, which is cut, planed, hot bent, and vaporised. There are different sizes according to the function
  • Slats undergo weightbearing and strength tests

03SUSPENSIONS AND MOTORISED ELEMENTS

  • Slats can have various types of suspension installed, according to the model
  • Suspensions differ by shapes and materials: differentiated rigidity adjusters in the lumbar area, soft shoulder comfort zone, and slat holders.
  • All slatted bedsprings can be adjusted manually or through silent electric motors
